Early 2007 as part of the redesign of the 12?th floor of Weekend, the Berlin club, Konzeptlicht was asked to provide a lighting concept and subsequently also supplied its execution and the programming. The idea was to develop a concept for the entire space and with lighting effects tuned to the music, to expand the dance floor beyond its physical boundaries. To this end, the six columns between the windows were fitted with eight RGB LED strips. All forty-eight strips were controllable individually using ecue programming. This allows the creation of dynamic light sequences - e.g. ?sound to light? ? allowing rhythmic pulses and colour changes.
