Straight-lined and pure, the gallery and living spaces present themselves in Auguststrasse 6, Berlin-Mitte. Designed by the architects Almut Seeger and Torsten Kloster, walls and ceiling are made of concrete and underline the simplicity of its precise appearance. As the plain surrounding is aimed to allow an unaffected view on the artwork, the lighting also follows the principle of linearity. Light tubes gleaming freely, are mounted in untreated suspended aluminium profiles and therefore present the gallery space (situated towards the street) as well as the private rooms (located towards the backyard) in a neutral light.
